Bias Cut Sinamay & Straw Crown BIAS CUT SINAMAY HAT WITH STRAW CROWN WITH DAVINA LYNCH!
Learn how to create a beautiful bias cut sinamay hat with straw crown - you can use normal or window sinamay for this technique with little or no previous experience. Davina teaches you how to make Bias Cut Hats using various millinery tools such as blocks, techniques such as constructing, stitching, blocking, wiring, sizing, stiffening and how to finish a felt hat - as each material reacts differently to the blocking and construction techniques this is a new skill for you to learn. This brim is not blocked in the traditional fashion and we teach you the only way to block window sinamay by joining 'sheet' sinamay into bias strips (prior to blocking), to create a deep sculptured brim that is usually difficult to achieve in this fabric. We will also block a smooth parasisal straw crown and then finish with sinamay trimmings!
You will create and keep hats using our milliner techniques. Learn step-by-step how to design your hat, discover what tools and materials are required and the techniques for finishing. We provide a wide selection of quality milliner materials for this course.

The Bias Cut SInamay with Straw Crown Course is just €300*** for our three day workshop based based in our dedicated class studios at our premises in Wellington Quay, Dublin City Centre. - price includes light refreshments. Use of tools and equipment are also included. *** Materials are extra but the cost of this is minimal. Please let us know what colour you would like to make your hat in advance if you are purchasing your material pack from us - otherwise we will supply you with the materials list.
