PRECIOUS METAL CLAY JEWELLERY

We are thrilled to have Laragh McMonagle teach with us.  Laragh is a well-known Irish PMC Artist who has trained in the USA and UK. Laragh runs beginner, intermediate and advanced workshops for us and is highly recommended for anyone starting to work with or wanting to improve their precious metal clay skills.  Laragh is a designer and maker of one-off pieces of jewellery, which incorporate gemstones, silver and natural objects such as shells, gemstones and pearls. A love of colour and a fascination with the innate beauty of gemstones, are the inspiration behind Laragh's work.

 

BEGINNER PMC (PRECIOUS METAL CLAY)

Suitable for beginners!  Learn how to sculpt and create jewellery using precious metal clay.  We show you how to make a precious metal clay earrings and pendants using various clay sculpting, baking the earrings and pendants with a torch and the finishing touches.

What will I learn?
1. What tools are required and how to use them safely.
2. Clay and equipment required to make precious metal clay jewellery

How much will it cost?
The Introduction to precious metal clay jewellery is just €100* (materials extra) for our full day workshop and includes use of tools and equipment and light refreshments. This workshop runs at our Wellington Quay Workshops.

*PMC prices vary depending on the price of Silver.  You will usually need at least 10gms of PMC for this workshop.  PMC is available for purchase at our shop.

INTERMEDIATE PMC (PRECIOUS METAL CLAY)

Suitable for those who have worked with PMC and want to take their skill to the next level!  Learn how to sculpt and create jewellery using precious metal clay.  We show you how to make a precious metal clay rings and beads using various clay sculpting, baking in a kiln and the finishing touches.

 

What will I learn?
1. What tools are required and how to use them safely.
2. Clay and equipment required to make precious metal clay jewellery

3. Various techniques to make PMC rings and beads

4. How to bake and finish your jewellery

 

How much will it cost?
